Fireballs Malinois is a Canadian breeder dedicated to producing elite Belgian Malinois for protection sports and serious working homes. Founded and operated by BC-born IGP competitor Christine Kisser, every breeding is carefully planned with a focus on stability, strong nerves, and balanced drives.
Producing a maximum of one litter per year, each puppy is raised in-home, evaluated individually, and matched thoughtfully with the right handler. Our goal is simple: to create confident, capable dogs that perform under pressure and live as stable companions off the field.
I am so incredibly proud to own my Fireballs C Litter Cherry Bomb. I met Christine a little over a year ago with a planned puppy on the way from another breeder. I had been dreaming about owning a Malinois forever. The moment I met her dogs I knew something was different. I had heard about “off switches” and the importance of a balanced Malinois but it wasn’t until I met Cherry’s father Jack that I 100% got it. I was in love. I am constantly complimented at how calm, affectionate and composed Cherry is in my home setting and yet she is fire on the field. She is my Velcro dog that only wants to please and be where I am. She is everything I could have hoped for in a working dog. Powerful and aware of me. This is the standard. I feel that I have found family and community in finding Fireballs. Christine adores her dogs. She knows her dogs and she respects her dogs. She has been there for me every step of the way as a new IGP handler and new puppy owner. She is patient with me as I fumble my way through this sport. We brainstorm, talk and work through each challenge step by step. Her expertise and coaching is firm yet assuring. I have so much peace that I have found not only the right dog for me but the right breeder/coach for our journey.
Christine is the best breeder and trainer that we have ever dealt with. She answered our million questions pre purchase and has been beyond supportive since we acquired our Malinois from her. We did ALOT of research and talked to quite a few breeders and Christine was the only one we felt truly comfortable getting a dog from. She is super knowledgeable and cares deeply for her dogs. Christine picked out the PERFECT dog for our family! She is everything we hoped for and more! We have a busy family with 2 young kids, another large dog, small rodents and a bird and Ruby has taken it all in stride. She is full energy (like Malinois’s are) but has an off switch when she comes in the home. Whether she is out on long runs with me, hiking the woods with the family or just hanging in the yard with the kids, she is always listening and alert to her family. We always feel safe with her around; she runs toward anything with no fear, but has amazing recall. Ruby is beyond brilliant and training her has been a breeze. We will definitely be acquiring another Malinois from Christine and Fireballs Kennel.
I’ve been a breeder and trainer of protection and hunting dogs for 30 years and I can say beyond question the best dog I’ve owned came from Fireballs Kennels. It’s not by accident either. These dogs are strategically performance bred, and performance proven. My boy Doc Holliday is very unique in that he is highly intelligent and intuitive. He’s a bit handler sensitive which I like. If somebody doesn’t know what they’re doing they might not appreciate a dog with this temperament. They actually want to work for you. They are not these wild out of control manic dogs that everybody talks about. He spends most of his time lounging around the house and looking for attention from my kids. He is very sound, loud noises and other situations that trigger most dogs don’t phase him. I can slap a harness on him and take him through the most crowded airport and he will curl up in a ball on my feet in economy class. But make no mistake, when it’s time to work he knows his job. Due to life circumstances I was unable to train regularly with him for almost a year. He hadn’t seen a decoy in at least nine months. I pulled him out of the truck at one of Mike Lorraine’s Effective engagement Police K9 seminars and he stole the show. Mike wanted to demonstrate what soundness and control andhis training looked like.I asked Mike “are you sure?, I haven’t done anything with him since you worked with him almost a year ago.!” Mike smiled and said “don’t worry man you’re going to have the coolest dog there.”My boy did not disappoint. He launched into a deep full mouth bite and released instantly the first time without hesitation… every timeI think the biggest thing that everybody freaked out about was the fact that I didn’t need a leash for him..once the switch was flipped off he walked next to me like a golden retriever. Everybody talks about an on and off switch but I’ve yet to see anything like it.A million bucks could not buy this dog from me.
